
Ruben Ramirez is a decorated combat veteran, former science teacher, and lifelong South Texan. Ruben was born in the Rio Grande Valley and grew up in Edinburg, Texas, in humble beginnings, raised by a loving grandmother and father who taught him the values of integrity, hard work, and patriotism. After graduating from the University of Texas-Pan American – today known as the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley – he became a licensed educator and taught chemistry and physics to high school students in his hometown.
Ruben enlisted to join the war in Afghanistan to fight for our freedom in the U.S. Army, and was recognized with a battlefield promotion and a Bronze Star Medal for his leadership. After being honorably discharged, he attended the University of Houston Law Center with his young family in tow where he earned his law degree. Today, he works as a personal injury trial lawyer representing the people of the Rio Grande Valley.
Before joining Loncar Lyon Jenkins, he worked for a large auto insurance company where he was one of their top trial attorneys and negotiators having never lost a trial for them.
Ruben and his wife have two children, Ruben and Ricardo. In addition to coaching their soccer teams when not working, Ruben enjoys spending time with the family, watching movies, and working on landscaping projects.
