GranuFlo Lawsuit Lawyer

What is GranuFlo?
GranuFlo is the only dialysis additive that uses sodium diacetate, a powder. The powder allows dialysis centers to mix their own solution, avoiding the need to purchase expensive 55 gallon drums of pre-mixed solution. GranuFlo alone is not unsafe.
GranuFlo Recall
In June of 2012 the FDA recalled GranuFlo, and the concentrated liquid version, NaturaLyte, due to evidence of increased serious cardiac injuries and even sudden cardiac death. The recall required Fresenius to clarify mixing and dosage instructions to prevent bicarbonate overdose, the consequence of improperly mixing and using GranuFlo and NaturaLyte.
