Viagra, a drug manufactured by Pfizer, Inc., was approved for use in erectile dysfunction by the US Food and Drug Administration in March of 1998. Viagra use has been linked to sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes, which the FDA warns could be a sign of non-artertic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), a cause of decreased vision which could lead to permanent loss of vison in one of both eyes. If you are a Viagra user, and have experienced partial or complete loss of vision in one or both eyes, contact our office.
